Reporting to: Engineering Director

Duties & responsibilities:

  1. Gain an overview of the company’s IT infrastructure and its compliance to the top 4 of the ASD’s essential 8 cyber security protocols.
  1. Working with our IT consultants, review / audit the system and identify any gaps in meeting the ASD Essential 8 (Top 4) Australian standard.
  1. Identify any further requirements required for meeting NIST SP 800-171 US standard (US ITAR requirement) and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC 2.0).  The CMMC model is designed to protect US Federal Contract Information (FCI) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) that is shared with contractors and subcontractors of the Department through acquisition programs.
  1. Working with the company’s chief security officer submit / update DISP membership.
  1. Review and update the company’s IT & cyber security procedures and protocols to meet DISP requirements.

  1. Gain experience in a business environment where cyber security is a must in daily business with customers and suppliers.
  2. Engage with consultant firms to ensure secure network protocols are maintained.
  3. Work with end users with differing understanding of IT and educate them about the need for security.
  4. Meet new and emerging threats to data protection and take proactive measures to keep information secure.
